Prices are reasonable and they have the best country food in the area. Friendly and fast service also. Can't really ask for anything else!

Food was really good, fresh, and cost-effective! Employees were friendly and attentive. Just a great little comfort cooking type of place.

I was extremely disappointed after my first and only visit. The atmosphere was gloomy, the staff acted like they were ready for the night to be over, and the food was horrible. I got the french dip, which is listed as one of the "house favorites". The meat was cold and was also very fatty. I got the impression that someone didn't microwave it long enough... the kid spaghetti looked bad and my 5-yr-old asked if we could go to McDonald's after taking two bites. She never turns down spaghetti. My wife and 8-yr-old both asked the same question about a minute later. It was certainly not what I expected.

Try it! Southern charm. Excellent selection of fresh veggie sides. No added salt ( my perception)Clean! Fast! Delicious! Our waitress Lisa was just great! I don't recommend the sweet tea if you are southern. The hamburger patties didn't look appetizing but tasted great! I recommend the patty melt. I used the restroom twice they were clean the first time but there was a propane odor. The second time I actually caught an employee cleaning them like actually cleaning them and that was so refreshing.I also loved that drinks were only $1.49 when was the last time you saw that??? Give this place your business!

This was my first time getting breakfast there. Food was very good. Staff was great. Good prices. Will come back soon.

Service is falling we come here a few times a year it out of our way. I rated it 4 last time but have to lower it my rating this time. It was not busy 5-6 tables. 3-4 wait staff a person at the door and someone I couldn't figure out the purpose of. Food of a person that came in and ordered well after us got his food after sitting in the window 10 min. All but his waitress were standing in front of the window. The entire time we were there they all chitchated and played on their phones. After 45 min we asked the only person to walk by us to check on our food. She looked at her tablet and then asked the waitress what we had. The waitress looked at her tablet and went to the kitchen. She came back and said the printer jammed. Really, the person after us came ordered are and left and the printer jammed on our order. Sadly the food is good (the reason for the 2 instead of a 1)but we won't be back.

I am from NJ and miss my diners so much. I am so happy to have found this place. There are only 2 reasons I am not giving it 5 stars. The first is because of having a "limited breakfast menu after 2pm" and because of it closing so early. In true "diner" fashion, they should offer breakfast all the time and diners should be open 24 hrs a day... Aside from those two things, I will be going back 🙂

Good ol' home cooked food at a great price. Cozy atmosphere with a genuinely friendly, helpful staff. Nice experience.

Great diner in all aspects. Quick service good portions, great prices. Perfect combination :) will be back for sure. Fried chix was great, but ask em to leave any fried stuff in fryer for extra few seconds. The extra crisp will help the dish ;).

A short wait on an early Sunday afternoon.Our server was pleasant and friendly. Food came out quickly. Good country cooking.Prices reasonable.

Nice small town diner. Good food, friendly, fast, and accurate wait staff. Has a very cheery and welcoming feel. Highly recommended. Not a huge fan of the biscuits. All the rest of the food was delicious.

I went in knowing it was going to be a hit or miss and it blew my expectations away. The food was delicious, the service was fast and the atmosphere was wonderful. Will definitely be going back

Staff was friendly. Food was terrible. Had Hamburger steak was gravy. Came out dry and cold like it was left over from lunch. Send it back to the kitchen came out a little warmer and still dry. Don't waste your time going

We went in for lunch about 12:30 and we were seated promptly. I had hamburger steak with gravy and onions, beets, and fried green tomatoes. It was all delicious!! And reasonably priced. Friendly and good service. I want to go back.

Unusual to find the best breakfast place around is also the best value. I drive about 12 miles past many other breakfast places. Service is always great and food is delicious.

We looked up “best chicken tenders in Clayton” and the Rockin’ Comet Diner came up! Ok! We gave it a try. We hit at a low traffic time. The sweet waitress saw us pull up with a dog in the car and instantly offered a bowl of water! The dog had to stay outside but how sweet was that?!?! We did order chicken tenders and they were good! I got a side of fried green tomatoes. That was the first time I had tried fried green tomatoes. I’m not sure what I expected. They were not packed with flavor but they were good. They had about ten different desserts but we did not order one. I heard someone ask for the pineapple bake which is apparently pineapple with cheese and bread crumbs? I guess if you love that kind of thing it is good! They had a juke box which I wanted to use but it didn’t work. It still looked pretty!

Friendly with great selection of food...always good.

Usually I like this place but this afternoon changed my mind. Asked for water and received some in a dirty cup and the waitress seemed pretty rude. Just not a good attitude to have when people are coming to spend money to eat there but on a side note, the young man that works the register at night night is always very polite and a great attitude.

Food was delish! They have so many sides to choose from, you’ll never get bored with their menu. The cornbread was amazing. So soft and so thick. Prices are super duper cheap and serving sizes are good! I can’t wait to try their breakfast and other items on their menu! Waitress was so nice , and gave me a different side when I didn’t like the first one I picked with no hassle.

The food is always great! It's more than what you would think about as diner food. Everything is cooked fresh, and the prices are reasonable. I think it's the best food in Clayton.

Very good place, and larger than it looks. I got a half order of biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, and hash browns. This was very good. My dad got french toast and country ham. He said it was fabulous. Great stop during the day, with great service and prices. Will definitely be back again soon.

New to the area and figured we'd grab a bite between moving into the house. This diner is going to be one of our favorites - burger was good. I'm picky with my chili but didn't have any complaints. Definitely a place to visit and work through their menu. Service was great and milkshake was delish! Parking took us a quick second to maneuver but plenty of spots out back too!

We've been here several times in 2020. Breakfast has always been very good (recommended).Today, however we came after lunch and tried the Blue Plate special: fried chicken, baked sweet potato, and fried okra.Everything was made ahead of time. The chicken was tasty, but warm and the skin soggy. The okra was also soggy (chewy) and cold. The sweet potato was warm, not hot.Overall, I will come back but will stick to breakfast and made-to-order meals.

The staff is amazing and the food was great. They allowed me to do a photoshoot of my daughter when it was slow. I cannot thank them enough for the experience.

Great customer service as soon as I walked in I was greeted with a smile. Food was home cooked delicious. I got the country style steak, absolutely tasty!!! One of my favorite spots when I want a home cook meal on the go!!

Great atmosphere, upbeat, vintage and eclectic. The staff is friendly and the food is very good. It's a blast from the past that shouldn't be passed up.

Consistently great food, with service to match. Country cooking, including a wide selection of fresh vegetables. Burgers, hot dogs, and fried food available if you want that instead. Salads also available. And a vast selection of homemade desserts. The dining room is open, with social distancing, and masks are currently required.

The service was in impressive, really helpful in deciding.

Enjoyed Mon.special of BBQ chicken & sides mac & cheese ok but a fail on cucumber salad also way too much BBQ sauce on chicken,hubby had turkey club, they use real turkey not lunch meat. Very good.Would definately go back to try other things on menu.

I would come here at certain times. Usually busy if you miss the time to come in. Milkshakes are very good.

Cute retro atmosphere, though kinda dirty. Good service, but the food was so-so. You'd be better off going to Biscuitville across the street.The menu isn't that exciting. The fresh and light options are especially limited. The grits tasted instant, and the country ham was inedibly salty. Everything else was decent.

Service is fast and friendly food is delicious. Not much more that you have to say than that. I will say that I did order the open-faced roast beef sandwich and they're gravy is amazing. Next time I am definitely ordering gravy fries because that would be delicious.
